Important call from the Surgical Infection Society (SIS-E) Europe to creators, developers, companies and public or private agencies from all over Europe:

Clinical and entrepreneurial matchmaking in the fight against surgical infections

At its upcoming congress in Dublin, scheduled for May 2025, SIS-E plans to host a special scientific-technical session that brings together clinical expertise, technical knowledge, and entrepreneurial initiatives.

This session will provide a platform to showcase outstanding proposals aimed at the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of surgical infections, leveraging state-of-the-art technology, with a particular focus on data science tools.

Selected projects will be presented through a brief technical pitch to the SIS-E expert committee and congress attendees. Following the presentations, any questions or concerns will be addressed. The SIS-E board will then evaluate the projects and select the most promising one. The chosen project will receive formal recognition through an accrediting diploma, a certificate of approval from the Society, and opportunities to collaborate on its clinical development.

Participants in this activity are required to register for the congress, but will be offered a discounted registration fee. They will also gain full access to other sessions of the event and opportunities for networking with other clinical attendees.

SIS-E believes this initiative will be of significant interest to both clinicians and companies, fostering a unique environment for collaboration and innovation.
