Who can join SIS-E?

Any individual interested in the aims of SIS-E may apply for membership. We accept applications for membership from individuals.

How can I apply for SIS-E membership?

You can apply for membership by clicking here and filling in your details. If you are unable to complete the form, please contact us.

What happens after I send my application form?

When we receive the application form, we will process your membership application as quickly as possible and then send you a receipt for your membership fee. If you would like to receive a membership certificate please contact us.

I am a new member of SIS-E, what should I do?

When we receive the application form, we will process your membership application as quickly as possible and then send you a receipt for your membership fee. At the Members Business Meeting that takes place during the Annual Congress you will be officially approved and welcomed into the Society by fellow members. If you would like to receive a membership certificate please contact us. If you would like to get involved in any of the SIS-E committees or would like assistance with surgical infections research/projects, please contact us.

How do I get my Surgical Infections Journal subscription?

If you have paid the subscription fee of €125 fee you will receive an email from the Surgical Infections Journal with details about how to access the online journal. The subscription to the journal is no longer included in the membership fee.

How much does SIS-E membership cost?

Membership of SIS-E costs €100.

How can I pay for my SIS-E membership fee?

We accept online payment by credit card (Visa, Master Card and American Express). Instructions and information about payment are given on the online membership form. If you want to pay by bank transfer please contact the membership team directly at sis-emembership@conferencepartners.ie

How long does my SIS-E membership last?

Membership runs from 1st January until 31st December. All membership terms that begin in 2017 will end on 31st December and will remain the listed fee during this period regardless of when the membership begins.

Can I cancel my SIS-E membership?

Yes, you can end your membership at any time; simply send your request to sis-emembership@conferencepartners.ie. However, no refund of the membership fee is possible, and any outstanding invoices must be paid.

Can I transfer my SIS-E membership to someone else?

Please send your request to sis-emembership@conferencepartners.ie.

Can I apply for institutional membership to SIS-E?

No, institutions and organisations cannot become members of SIS-E. Membership is individual and personal. If you would like your institution to be present at the Annual Congress please contact sis-emembership@conferenceparnters.ie

Does SIS-E have a trainee or student membership?

Supporting trainees is an important mission of SIS-E. Unfortunately, at this time SIS-E does not currently give funding or scholarships to students. However, we may be able to provide funding the future, and please see our resources page for more information.
