El Prado National Museum
This historic building from 1785 was designed by architect Juan de Villanueva. It houses art pieces from 1100 to 1900 by great artists such as El Bosco, El Greco, Velazquez and Botticelli amongst many others. If you are interested in art history, this is a wonderful opportunity to visit one of the world finest museums.
Mercado de San Miguel
Who doesn’t like a good tapa and a well poured beer? This 100 year old renewed food market is a great spot to experience authentic Spanish cuisine with a wide variety of typical dishes and wines across twenty different food stands.
Parque del Buen Retiro
This park is one of the most central spots in the city where you will be able to visit a few palaces and take a seat by the small lakes. Rest assured, this is the greatest place to go for a run in the morning or take a stroll during the evening.
