The devastating COVID-19 pandemic has had a great impact on our lives, both personally and professionally. We send our warmest regards to all of you who have lost a loved one, suffered personally and worked hard in the hospitals trying to save lives.
After the cancellation of our 2020 congress, we have been closely monitoring the evolving pandemic, following WHO’s and other institutional recommendations, and it is now clear that travel restrictions will probably apply in the upcoming months, and our work, family and personal life will still be affected.
However, we still want to keep the great connection and networking with international colleagues that makes us strong and helps us to continue learning and improving everyday in the field of Surgical Infections.
We have therefore decided that our 33rd European Congress on Surgical Infections will take place fully online from 9 – 11 June 2021. Our programme highlights will be available soon which will feature innovative, practical and interactive workshops and symposia.
We look forward to meeting you all online in June!
